Bubble Bowl Surprise

Our customers often ask us for new ideas to use with their regular stock: So we were pleased to discover that by placing a Kensington Posy Vase inside the 9.5” Bubble Bowl you can then add a different dimension to the Bowl.

We’ve used Crystal Accents to surround the Vase, but you could try using water (clear or coloured) or Marbles, Coloured Sand, Dew Drops etc. And of course the choice of flowers that you can use is endless!

Glass Vases Used: 9.5” Bubble Bowl, Kensington Posy Vase

Workroom items used: Green Stub Wire 12” x 20g wires, Green Parafilm, Scissors,

Presentation items used:  1x Packet Crystal Accents – Rose, Butterfly O/Wire – Pink, Butterfly O/Wire – Red

Here’s a seasonal display for Autumn, you could alter the green pears red apples and change the lavender for cornstalks or grasses.

Silk Flowers Used: 1x Poppy Spray,  1x Lavender Bundle,  1x Fruit Spray (Pear)

Presentation Items Used: Natural Moss, Ladybirds (Wood)

Workroom Items Used; Green Stub Wire 12” x 22g wires, Green Stub Wire 12” x 20g wires, Parafilm (Green), Dry foam, Glue Gun, Scissors, Wire Cutters

Ribbon used: Gingham Ribbon – Burgundy

Container Used: Bark Basket S4

Kemptown Flowers – Growing Up in a Recession!

Kemptown Flowers is in its infancy, just 4 months old!  The new arrival is refreshing and real evidence that recession can be the catalyst for inspiration!  Kemptown is an area of Hove and Brighton which is a busy ‘village’ close enough to the sea to hear the gulls, but not quite close enough to smell the salt! 

Today we meet Tina Croucher, the charismatic owner of Kemptown Flowers, who stands proudly in her shop adorned in a very dapper pink outfit – the colour which seems to be at the heart of her very sole and everything she does.  If colours were ever used to describe people, Tina is definitely a “Pink” person.  She personifies the energy, vibrancy and the overt nature of the colour – she is simply charming.  So it is with great ease we chat about floristry in general, the decision to start her business, the challenges she has faced so far and what the future holds.
