To you at $200,000
So we have had the Christmas and new year party excesses and we are into 2010 – its time for the sales!! But don’t get your hopes up to high of snapping up a bargain if you have dreams of bagging one of the following ‘luxury’ items.
1. An Orchid
But not just any Orchid, the most expensive Orchid in the world! In  2005 this Orchid was sold at auction for $200,000. The newly developed flower was grown by scientists in China, after eight years of research.
So whatever you do, if you manage to get hold of the plant, don’t put it in a cheap pot.
Â
2. Cooking Ingredients Â

50,000 plants for 1lb of saffron
Â
3. Perfume

The Perfume of Royalty...
The perfume called ‘Clive Christan No.1’ has been available since Queen Victoria’s reign- in fact she gave her royal consent for the image of her crown to be used on front of the bottle.
Â
This perfume is also acknowledged in the Guinness Book Of Records for its cost at $2300 per ounce – use it sparingly! And if you fancy mixing something yourself, apparently it uses the fragrances of jasmine, rose and orris.
Â
4. Â Â A handbag
The inclusion of a handbag in our list is probably no surprise.

An extra special rose...
Â
The Leiber Precious Rose Handbag is a uniquely designed rare fashion accessory. Using an 18 carat white gold base the bag is encrusted with1,016 diamonds, 1,169 pink sapphires and 800 tourmalines (a semi-precious stone).
To spoil the love of your life you will have to find $92,000. But here’s the dilemma – where do you find shoes to match?
Â
5. A Computer Mouse

Sparkly....
At £14,400.00 this 18 carat white gold ‘Diamond Flower’ mouse encrusted with 59 diamonds, is for the lady who has everything.
So if you do find them in the new year sales, snap them up, but you will probably have to stand in line behind the likes of Mr & Mrs Beckham…
We hope you have a prosperous new year!
