When it comes to expressing emotions the French are one of the most vociferous – gentile and aggressive!  They are widely acknowledged as the romantics of Europe, so it is probably no surprise that the Language of Flowers is supposed to have started in France in the early 1800s.  The idea was that bunches and arrangements conveyed secret messages between forbidden lovers. 

Since its early years many have commented on the use of the Language of Flowers and indeed, the meanings of individual flowers – so goodness knows what sort mixed messages have been relayed as history has elapsed!  Even today there is no definitive list of meanings and there are even instances were modern times have changed historic meanings.  Traditionally, daffodils had a meaning “ You’re the only one” today it is more commonly associated (more…)

Lime Flower Cellophane

One of the core packaging products used in the floristry industry and indeed in many other creative sectors is Cellophane. Cellophane was invented back in 1908 by a Swiss textile engineer who wanted to create a waterproof, clear protective material, and by 1927 Cellophane had been patented.

Today customers not only want a waterproof, clear product; they also want stylish, colourful, fun and funky designs to enhance their creations. Our latest addition to our cellophane range is all of the above and more!

Silver Pearlised Transporter Box

Question: When is a cardboard box not a box?

Answer: When it’s a Living Vase.

Or to give it it’s other popular names, when it’s a Transporter Box, Castle Vase or Aqua Box.

New Flower Pick

So here is something new – cute and elegant!  Here we have yet another cool accessory to add to our Wedding Accessories range, so there is something for every bride, whatever her taste. 

We think Weddings are all about planning.  This can be a little or a lot of planning depending on the size of the wedding.  The time can be fun, tiresome and downright boring.  Research suggests that the average length of an engagement is 11 months so you there is a reasonable amount of time to get organised!  One thing we would say is always plan the detail of your wedding and don’t leave the flowers to the end!
