Attention to Detail – The foundations of a Successful Wedding

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

You may think we are getting things out of perspective, but bear with us: we think you should pay attention to Corsages, Buttonholes and   Wristlets!

Every bride is looking for the perfect wedding, the enjoyment on the day is one aspect, capturing the day forever is another.  Long after the day has passed, family and friends will continue to discuss and reminisce, leafing through the photographs, DVDs, even the old videos. They will coo over how beautiful the bride and her bridesmaids looked, they will smile at the “risky” best mans speech and adore or curse the weather!  On the odd occasion the ladies will appreciate the beauty and artistry of the cake and the flowers.

So what’s our point? Flowers may not be the first memory of the day if you get them right – they will be, if you get them wrong!  This is why we think brides should keep focused until the buttonholes , wristlets and corsages have been finalised! (more…)

Florists- Flowers need TLC

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

Come on show your flowers a little love!  It’s so important to care for your flowers correctly to ensure they stay fresh and last as long as possible.  Remember it doesn’t just start with the care you give them, consider the care they have been given from your supplier and if you are really diligent, the care they have been given by the producer.  Be bold and ask about the process adopted by the producer, when the flowers were first cut and subsequently distributed – it is your hard earned money you are investing.   The better care they receive from the beginning the fresher and longer lasting they will be for your customer.  So make sure you only buy flowers from a reputable source and for your own sake set high quality standards.

Straight after harvest flowers are deprived of water, food and growth regulators.  Flowers will start to age immediately (more…)
